Sitting in the waiting room for longer is particularly uncomfortable in some phases of life. As a pregnant woman, for example, you have many important doctor's appointments to manage anyway, one of which is the prophylaxis at the dentist in Schwabing. Therefore, our family consultation hours are available to you.

Families with children also face organizational challenges. At family appointments, we time prophylaxis, examinations and teeth cleaning so that all family members can be treated together in the practice if desired. Our family consultation hours ensure short waiting times and a relaxed process.

Ask specifically about our family office hours, daily from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dental treatment and teeth cleaning during pregnancy

Many women have problems with their teeth during pregnancy, especially from the second to the eighth month. The hormonal change may make the gums more sensitive to plaque. The result is inflammation of the gums (pregnancy gingivitis), pain-sensitive gums and bleeding gums. Vomiting caused by morning sickness and frequent snacks put additional stress on the teeth and increase the risk of tooth decay during pregnancy.

In addition to careful oral hygiene, pregnancy prophylaxis should be carried out at the dentist in Schwabing. In addition to the examination, we also recommend tooth cleaning from the 13th week of pregnancy and another just before birth. Of course, we always pay attention to the correct positioning of our heavily pregnant patients. In addition to the mother's dental health, this is also beneficial for the children. Because those who have fewer caries bacteria in their mouths reduce the risk of passing them on to the children.

Parent-child appointment at the dentist in Munich

With a parent-child appointment, your children get used to it early on: a visit to the dentist is simply part of it and is no reason for fear. As soon as the first milk teeth are there, we recommend that the child be examined by himself, because unfortunately very young children have tooth decay or other dental problems before the age of three. However, after 24 months at the latest, the little one's complete set of teeth should be examined. Since you should brush your teeth from the first tooth, we are happy to give you useful tips and show you how you can optimize your child's oral health. Whether pacifiers, bottles, the use of fluorides, misaligned teeth or nutrition - we are happy to answer your questions about your child's dental hygiene.

So that you do not neglect your own dental health in the hustle and bustle of the family, you also have the opportunity to visit several people with us. We would be happy to advise you on how best to organize a family meeting - we look forward to seeing you.

This is how you can maintain your oral health during pregnancy

In order to minimize the risk of tooth decay during pregnancy, you should choose healthy, low-sugar snacks if possible. A balanced diet during pregnancy also ensures healthy teeth for the baby later on.

If you struggle with nausea in the morning, you shouldn't brush your teeth until an hour after vomiting. The acid softens the enamel and brushing immediately can damage the teeth. So first rinse your mouth with water or an alcohol-free mouthwash. If you have any further questions about oral and dental hygiene during pregnancy, simply make an appointment in our Schwabing practice.
